Today I am sharing how to make a colorful collage card using the Ringed with Nature stamp set for day 10 of 12 Days of Christmas. Have you made any of the projects Brenda and I have been sharing? I hope we have inspired you to do some holiday crafting!
Collage cards are easy to make, and usually give you an awesome result. The key is choosing a stamp set with multiple coordinating images, and the Ringed with Nature stamp set was perfect! Next, I chose multiple coordinating ink colors that would compliment each other.
To help with color selection, I pulled matching colors to the designer series paper used as the main layer. This paper is from the Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper collection, which sadly just sold out, but any designer series paper would work.
The stamped layer was set off with a layer of Real Red Glimmer paper, and a matching sentiment was stamped on a label cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies.
How to Create a Collage
Collage stamping is easy, and gives a great result, and the Ringed with Nature stamp set worked perfectly. I started with my focal image, the poinsettia, and stamped it in Sweet Sorbet ink. Next, I added accents of foliage in various greens. Finally, I used the berries to fill in anywhere I had some gaps in color. The end result is beautiful! You can’t go wrong with this!
To Create this Card:
- Use a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Garden Green card base scored at 4 1/4″
- Front layer 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ Designer Series Paper
- Stamping Layer 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″ Basic White
- Glimmer Paper Layer 3 3/4″ x 5″
Adhere designer series paper to card base. Stamp focal image on front layer in Sweet Sorbet ink. Add foliage accents in Granny Apple Green and Garden Green ink. Fill in with the berries stamped in Crumb Cake ink. Adhere to a layer of Real Red Glimmer Paper. Die cut a Basic White circle label using the Stylish Shapes dies. Stamp sentiment in Sweet Sorbet ink and add to card front with dimensionals. Embellish with a gold cord bow and gold sequins.
