Welcome back! Today I’m sharing another beautiful card created with the A Child is Born stamp set. This project is watercolored then layered using a windowpane technique.
I created this project on my live last week. If you missed it, check out the video! I also shared this project! Both projects come together pretty quickly and are fun to create. Today’s project was watercolored using ink pads and a Water Painter. Use any colors you would like for coloring. Heat emboss the image to make watercoloring easier.
Today’s project uses the following ink colors: Early Espresso, Basic Beige, Petal Pink, Cloud Cover and Smoky Slate.

After coloring the main image, cut into 6 pieces and layer them on a background layer. I shared 2 versions on my live. One used the Modern Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper as the background layer, and the other version used Basic Black Cardstock. Both turned out great! The DSP has gold stars on it and they pop through providing an extra subtle detail. They also coordinate perfectly with the Gold Shaker Stars used as an embellishment.
Next, a strip of Designer Series Paper was added to the inside, carrying the design throughout the project.

Finally, I added a few of those amazing Gold Shaker Stars – to the front and inside of the card!
