Thanks for joining us today for the September 2021 Maui Achievers Blog hop where I am sharing 2 adorable haunted house projects created with the Frightfully Cute bundle.

The Maui Achievers are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators that earned the amazing Stampin’ Up! incentive trip to Maui in 2020. The trip took place a few months ago in May, and was absolutely amazing! Thank you for hopping with us today to see what we have to share!

Creating the Base

I wanted to create a yummy treat using cheeseballs. To do that, I needed something large enough to hold them. So I did a bit of thinking, and came up with this. I pulled out my Stitched Rectangles and the Stitched Triangle Dies and created a haunted house! And the Frightfully Cute Bundle was the perfect set to finish it all off!

Once I had the base for the house, I worked on the little details. I started with the windows. They would be the focal point. I noticed a straight line to create window panes by using the dangling spider’s web! It worked perfectly!

Creating the Details

Once I had wonky windows created, I added silhouette images using various stamps from the set, along with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. A die cut tag worked well for the door, and Black Glitter Paper set it off nicely. Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper provided perfect patterns for the accents. I fussy cut the tombstone from one pattern, and die cut a tree from the small house print, which created a spooky tree that looked dirty — perfect! Once done, I adhered it to a cello bag full of cheeseballs, which was tied closed with some Metallic Mesh Ribbon. I love how it turned out!

Easy Alternative Idea

This house was really fun, so I decided to create an alternative project, by making a card. This will be perfect to hold a gift card to a local coffee shop, which I will gift to a friend to treat themselves to their favorite brew!

For this alternative project, I used a 4 1/4″ x 11″ Basic Black card base, scored at 5 1/2″. I die cut 3 spider webs from Basic Black cardstock, and adhered them to the card base, trimming excess off the edges. I then placed the haunted house on the card front with dimensionals. So easy and cute!
