Welcome to the Color Fusers September 2021 Blog Hop where I am using the Intricate Leaves dies and Sale-a-bration Be Dazzling and Beautifully Penned papers to create a gorgeous project to share with you.
This month involves a fun twist, where we each picked one of the colors, and mixed it with black and white! So fun, right? And you will get to see a variety of color ideas. Mine looks like this:
Fall is my favorite season, and I couldn’t resist pulling out the beautiful Intricate Leaves Dies, which was the inspiration for the Cajun Craze. It is actually one of my go-to colors this time of year. Pairing it with the Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper was a given, and the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper had to make it’s way on their, too, however, a little Cajun Craze ink made great – awesome! The perfect accent.
To create variation with only one color, I used items that could create a variation in color saturation. The Vellum Cardstock was perfect for a soft Cajun Craze color. I added Cajun Craze ink with a Blending Brush after die cutting the leaves to create the soft colored effect. The Be Dazzling Specialty Paper not only added color, but perfect texture, too. Normally this paper is gold, but I added ink to create a custom colored accent piece!
Did You Know It’s FREE?
Did you know the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper is FREE? Yup – FREE! To get a pack, simply purchase at least $50 in Stampin’ Up! products, and choose it as your FREE Sale-a-Bration item. I know you will love creating with it as much as I do, but get it soon! Sale-a-bration ends September 30th!
Finishing It Off
Since Basic Black and Whisper White were the main colors for this Color Fuse, I needed to pull some elements in to balance the Cajun Craze. The Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper is gorgeous, and the whole pack is black and white! You can also get this FREE with your purchase during the Sale-a-bration promotion, which ends soon! It was perfect for this challenge. I used many different black accents, starting with small die cut detailed leaves with the Intricate Leaves Dies, then added a Black Glitter Ribbon bow. The sentiment was heat embossed in white on Basic Black cardstock, and I added some Matte Black Dots to finish it all off.
By the way, the sentiment is from one of my favorite bundles – Many Messages! Love the variety and size. And the shapes are simply perfection!

- choose a black & white patterned paper and cut 3 3/4″ x 5″
