Thanks for joining us today for the Maui Achievers Blog Hop where I am sharing a card made with the Penguin Place bundle and Peaceful Prints designer series paper from Sale-a-bration.

The Maui Achievers are a group of demonstrators that have worked hard to achieve the amazing incentive trip offered by Stampin’ Up! This trip took place in May and was nothing short of amazing! Today we are hopping along to share some creative inspiration with you. I hope you visit all of us to see what we have to share!

When I saw the Penguin Place bundle in the mini catalog, I knew I would love creating with it. The penguin is just adorable, and I finally got to create with it when I made this card. I love that this bundle includes a punch, so the penguin can be stamped with adorable accessories, or simply punched, before adding to your project.

One of my favorite color combinations is black, white and red, so it was the perfect choice to pull in the Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper for this project. The snowflake print used on this card adds just the right amount of wintery fun, and was perfect to pair with the penguin. To build on the wintery theme, I used an irridescent Wonderful Snowflake. These large snowflakes are die cut from the most amazing irridescent foil paper, and so easy to add to your projects! Can you see the cool color on the snowflake?

Some black and white gingham ribbon made a great finishing touch!

To create this project:

• use a Thick Basic White card base cut 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″
• cut a Basic Black mat 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″
• one piece of designer series paper cut 3″ x 4″
• cut a strip of Basic White cardstock 1/2″ x 2 1/2″

Layer the designer paper onto the Basic Black mat. Wrap ribbon around layer and tie together with white twine. Adhere to card base with dimensionals. Place a snowflake onto card front with dimensionals. Punch a Basic Black penguin and Basic White penguin body front using the Penguin Builder Punch. Stamp eyes with Memento Black ink and the beak with Mango Melody ink. Adhere together and place onto card front. Stamp sentiment in Memento Black ink and adhere to card front.
