I enjoyed working with today’s color challenge. And to make it even better, I used new products!

I dug into my new July – December 2021 Mini Catalog products for today’s project. I couldn’t wait to use the Whimsical Trees stamp set. It’s part of a new product suite called Whimsy & Wonder, and probably my favorite suite in the July-December Mini Catalog. The first time I saw the large tree stamp, I knew I wanted to create a rainbow with it. Now, I know it isn’t colorful like a rainbow, but it has the shape of one!
The sentiment was a great choice to pair with the mini hearts from the Give It a Whirl die set from the Annual catalog. This die set is packed full of little treasures…….look at it closely!
For some texture, I used the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder, also from the July-December Mini Catalog, on the front stamped layer. Isn’t it cool? I also pulled in some Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper, which you can earn FREE with your purchase during Sale-A-Bration!
To make this project:
- Use a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Highland Heather card base, score at 4 1/4″
- Cut a 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock
- Cut a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of designer series paper and Gorgeous Grape cardstock
Stamp the large tree repeatedly in an arc on the Basic White cardstock in multiple colors of ink. Emboss with embossing folder. Layer designer paper and Gorgeous Grape cardstock together offset, and wrap ribbon around layers. Tie together with silver cord. Adhere to card base with dimensionals. Add Basic White layer on top. Stamp sentiment on strip of Basic white and adhere to card front. Die cut 3 small hearts and arrange on card front. Embellish with rhinestones.
