Welcome back to the Color Fusers blog hop for the month of April. I hope you are well, and are finding the silver lining in each day. I am enjoying spending extra time with my husband and children without the day-to-day chaos that 4 children and 2 working parents brings. What are you enjoying most? Please share in the comments, I would love to hear your silver lining!
I really enjoyed this month's color challenge. The colors flow together nicely, and were easy to work with.
As the current catalog is soon coming to a close, I pulled out items that have not gotten enough love. This designer paper is simply gorgeous! It comes in 3 colors with beautiful patterns printed on each color. I had not thought to use it for a card base until now. It works perfectly!
And for whatever reason, I have not even inked up Botanical Bliss yet. This set is lovely. It was one of my favorites when it launched.
I pulled in some great die sets and a punch to round out today's project.
To create this card:
- cut a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Noble Peacock designer paper and score a t 4 1/4"
- Cut a piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock 3 1/4" x 2 3/16"
- Die cut a medium scalloped rectangle from Vellum cardstock using the Stitched So Sweetly dies
- punch 2 sprigs from Balmy Blue cardstock
- die cut 5 branches from Granny Apple Green cardstock using the Botanical Tags die set
Adhere the Soft Sea Foam layer behind the vellum scalloped rectangle and adhere to card front. Stamp sentiment in Soft Sea Foam ink on Whisper White cardstock, fussy cut and adhere to rectangle. Die cut 'friend' in Granny Apple Green cardstock using the Well Written dies and adhere beneath sentiment. Stamp bird in Blueberry Bushel ink, color with Wink of Stella, fussy cut, and adhere sitting on word. Arrange die cut branches and punched sprigs behind rectangle and adhere in place. Color a piece of metallic trimmed ribbon with a Soft Sea Foam Blends marker, tie in a bow, and adhere to rectangle. Embellish as desired with None Peacock Rhinestones. Stamp inside sentiment in Soft Sea Foam ink.
Stampin' Tip: Use your Blends markers to color white ribbon, making custom colors for any project!
