What’s more fun than doing a color challenge with the Color Fusers? Why, combining it with the 12 Days of Christmas, of course! This month’s color challenge is definitely not traditional Christmas, so it was a double challenge for this project. However, I think it’s adorable. What do you think, would you use this for a Christmas card?
And we are already on day 4 of the 12 Days of Christmas! I have been sharing with my friend Brenda Nelson from Stamps & Stretchy Pants. Are you hopping along with us? We are taking turns sharing a project a day to inspire you for 12 straight days. This hop is always so fun, and I hope you love what we are creating!
Texture
Today’s project has a lot of it. I used the Snowflake Sky 3D embossing folder on the background layer, than added the incredible die-cut tree from the Decorative Trees Die set cut with Foam Adhesive. This creates amazing dimension on the die-cut. Since this die-cut is so detailed, when layered with the embossing folder, it really creates a WOW!
I also added extra texture behind the circle by adding die-cut pine boughs.
It’s hard to see the detail on the trees in this die set, but they are quite amazing! And I love that they layer with the stamps and other dies in the set. Since they are so delicate, I highly recommend using Adhesive Sheets when you die-cut them. This makes adhering to your projects a snap, with no sticky messes!
The fun continues inside the card. You can easily bring your design to the inside of your card. For this project, I repeated the color and design elements, which creates a cool surprise when you open the card.
To Create this Card
Card Base – Thick Basic White 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″
Glimmer Layer – White Glimmer Paper 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
Embossed Layer – Basic White 3 3/4″ x 5″ embossed with Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder
Circle – Basic White cut with 2nd largest Stylish Shapes Circle
Trees – die cut (3)* from Fresh Freesia Cardstock
Bows – die cut (2) from White Glimmer Paper
Wrap ribbon around embossed layer and tie in a knot. Adhere embossed layer to glimmer paper, then adhere to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Blend Azure Afternoon ink on a die-cut circle, excluding the very bottom. Die cut (3) trees, use Foam Adhesive* on one and Adhesive Sheet on the others. Trim bottom off one, and adhere to circle with foam backed tree. Embellish trees with Tinsel Gems and glimmer bows. Stamp sentiment in Berry Burst ink. Cut words apart and adhere to card front. Stamp sentiment inside card in Berry Burst ink. Blend Azure Afternoon ink in corner inside card. Adhere 3rd tree.

Welcome back for day 2 of 12 Days of Christmas with Melanie and Brenda, where today I am sharing a super simple project using the Christmas Labels Bundle. I made several of these cards using the Reindeer Days Designer Series Paper and various embossed layers. It was so fun mixing and matching!

Keeping it Simple
When the season gets busy, it’s time to keep projects quick and easy! This card is just that. The embossed layer brings in a great textural element. And it’s fun to make several versions, mixing and matching patterned papers with different embossing folders.
The embossed layer could easily be substituted with designer series paper as well. And the Christmas Labels Dies are awesome! Lots of detail and a nice size to carry your sentiment as a focal point. The sentiments are so cute, and work for holidays or winter occasions.
Reindeer Days Designer Series Paper is colorful and bright, with bold prints. I loved using it to create this card, and HINT: you will see it again in the upcoming days!
To Create this Project
Thick Basic White Cardstock – 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″ card base
Basic White – 3 3/4″ x 5″ embossed layer
Label – die cut from Basic White cardstock
Reindeer Days Designer Series Paper – 3 3/4″ x 1″
Emboss the front layer with the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder and adhere to card base. Die cut label. Stamp sentiment in Real Red ink. Cut banner ends on each end of designer series paper strip and adhere to label, then adhere label to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Tie ribbon in a knot, trim short, and adhere to label with a Mini Glue Dot. Embellish with peppermints. Stamp sentiment inside card with Real Red ink.

For 12 Days of Christmas day 1, I am sharing the Sophisticated Sled Bundle. These adorable folded tags are so easy, and I just love them! And they are so easy to create. You can make them in any color, and they can be used throughout the winter season. They open like a card, so you can write a special note inside for any occasion.
The Sophisticated Sled Bundle has been one of my favorites so far this season. It is part of the Online Exclusives in my online store. And this sled is a big reason why. Not only does this bundle have dies for the sled, but there is a sled stamp with a coordinating die as well. When you put them together, this is the result. The perfect gift tag!
And it’s fun pulling in different colors. The first tag was very traditional – Real Red and Silver Foil. However, I decided to try a Victorian color combination, creating with pink and gold. And the results are beautiful!
Here is a closer look at the bundle. I love the nostalgic feel. And the skates and sled images and dies are my favorite! Aren’t they cute?!
To create this project:
Basic White Cardstock – folded, then die cut just above the fold for the base
Any color foil – to die cut runners
Real Red/Petal Pink Cardstock – wooden sled pieces (can use any color)
Die cut the sled base first after folding the Basic White cardstock. The top of the die needs to be just above fold. This creates essentially a mini card, and opens so you can write inside. Adhere runners to sled base. Using Adhesive Sheet on your foil helps make the runners easy to stick down on your project. Adhere wood pieces with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Stamp sentiment in black ink, fussy cut, and adhere to tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Embellish with gems. Punch a small hole in the top of the tag and add a ribbon or twine hanger, than tie a bow around the hanger.
