Welcome to the April 2023 Color Fusers blog hop where I am sharing a project made with the Covered in Sunshine stamp set, Playing in the Rain Bundle and an adorable watercolored rainbow!
This color challenge is so bright and cheery, and I though it would be a great spring card color combo. But where I live, spring means rain and rainbows! So I pulled out one of my favorites, Covered in Sunshine, and paired it with the Playing in the Rain bundle.
Covered in Sunshine
The sayings in this set are so heartfelt, and I love that they have such cool shapes. It makes an easy focal point on any card. This set is sadly retiring at the end of this month. So if it is on your wishlist, grab it soon! In fact, Shimmery White cardstock (my favorite for watercoloring) and the Metallic Mesh Ribbon are retiring, too!
To Create this Card:
- 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Gorgeous Grape card base, scored at 4 1/4″
- 3 3/4″ x 5″ cardstock layers from Gorgeous Grape and Shimmery White cardstock
- die cut large Designer Tags label from Shimmery White cardstock
Fold card base in half and burnish well. Emboss Gorgeous Grape layer and adhere to card front. Stamp rainbow sentiment in black ink on large label. Use a Water Painter and ink to color rainbow. Let dry. Stamp clouds on Shimmery White cardstock. Add color with a small blending brush. Die cut. Thread Metallic Mesh Ribbon through label and tie ends with black twine. Adhere to card front with dimensionals. Add clouds to label. Die cut a kite from vellum. Die cut the top of kite from designer series paper and adhere behind vellum. Adhere to card front. Die cut small bows. Adhere to kite. Add Shimmery White layer inside card and stamp sentiment in black ink.
