Christmas shaker card made with the Framed & Festive stamp set and fitting florets collection for the 12 days of Christmas blog share with Brenda Nelson from Stamps and Stretchy Pants.

It’s day 7 of 12 Days of Christmas and I am sharing a Christmas Shaker Card made with the Fitting Florets Collection. I hope you have been following along with Brenda and I for all of our holiday project ideas!

12 Days of Christmas 2022 with Brenda Nelson of Stamps and Stretchy Pans and Melanie Hockin of Mel's Inky Fingers.

The Fitting Florets Collection is a special release, featuring the Framed Florets Bundle coming in the new mini catalog. It also includes the limited edition Framed & Festive stamp set, and Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper. I have been using the Framed & Festive stamp set a lot, and I love it!

Today’s project is a shaker card. Shaker cards are so fun, and perfect for any occasion! The front layer is created with the gorgeous Brushstroke Specialty Paper. This paper comes in 3 colors per pack. It has a beautiful texture. This paper is light weight, and works great for layering or die-cutting.

The Framed Florets die set has both floral and frame elements. One of the frame elements is this awesome heart oval. I used the mini hearts inside the shaker, along with For Everything Fancy Sequins. The floral oval was cut from Fitting Florets Designer Series paper.

To make this shaker card:

  • cut a 4 1/4″ x 11″ Thick Basic White card base and 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ layer
  • layer front with a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Brushstroke Specialty Paper
  • die-cut an oval from Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper
  • using Vellum Cardstock, die cut floral elements using Framed Florets dies
  • 3″ x 4″ window sheet

Fold card base in half and burnish well. Die cut the Brushstroke paper with heart oval. Stamp sentiment in center with Versamark ink and heat emboss in white, then adhere to card front. Die cut an oval from designer series paper and adhere to window sheet. Trim window sheet along outer edge of oval. Apply foam strips to back side of window sheet layer, under die cut oval. In center of card front, place some sequins and mini die-cut hearts. Adhere window sheet layer over sequins, adhering to card front. Add vellum elements and a ribbon bow to frame on card front.
