Welcome to the December 2021 Color Fusers blog hop where I am sharing a card made with the Bright Baubles bundle and a fun piecing technique.
This month’s color challenge is traditional Christmas, with a little pink added, and I knew this gorgeous die from the Delicate Baubles die collection would be perfect to feature the colors. I used the traditional colors as the focal point, and pulled in the Petal Pink for the background. It works nicely together to really draw your eye to the beautiful details of the die cut.

I wanted my project to feature a multicolored die piece. So, I cut the die 3 times, once in Cherry Cobbler cardstock, which I used as the base, once in Evening Evergreen designer paper, and once in Shimmery White cardstock. I then cut each part I wanted from each color, and adhered it to the Cherry Cobbler base. Using Adhesive Sheets made this really easy!
Details, details…
There are several other details added to this project. I used the Painted Texture Embossing Folder on the Petal Pink background layer to create texture Then, I added Shimmery Crystal Effects to the snow flakes, which creates some shine and shimmer. Lastly, I added Cherry Cobbler gems to decorate the tree. These gems are a special release, and while supplies last. If you like them, grab a pack before they are gone by clicking the image below!

Did you notice the narrow ribbon? It is actually the Evening Evergreen Open Weave ribbon, and I cut it lengthwise to remove this fine satin edge, which is used to create the bulb hanger and bow. It worked great!

To create this project:
- fold a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Shimmery White cardstock at 5 1/2″ for the card base
- cut a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Shimmery White cardstock
- layer a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of designer series paper under white layer
Use a Water Painter and add an ink wash to the Shimmery White layer using Petal Pink ink. While drying, die cut the bauble background from Petal Pink cardstock, and emboss with an embossing folder. Die cut 3 tree dies in 3 different colors. Cut apart pieces from the evergreen and white trees, and adhere over the top of the Cherry Cobbler die cu. Add details, including ribbon bow and a sentiment stamped in Cherry cobbler ink.
