Such a cute sentiment!
It goes so well with this adorable little bear in the A Little Wild stamp set. I have had fun playing with the bundle this week. And those bees in the coordinating Little Loves framelits die set…..I am in love with them!
It was fun building dimension into this card. I built up the bee hive, and used dimensionals between layers, and under some of the bees. In person, it looks great!
The color combination that I used is soft and perfect for a baby boy or all occasion card.
To recreate this card, cut the following layers:
- Card base of Soft Sky, cut to 4 1/4" x 11", score at 5 1/2"
- Crumb Cake 2 3/4" square
- So Saffron 2 5/8" square
- Whisper White 2 1/2" square
Stamp the bear, one bee hive, and 2 sets of bees. Color with watercolor pencils and blender pens. Cut out using the Little Loves dies. Cut several additional bee hives and one border piece. Trim apart the front and back bear images. Adhere the Crumb Cake and So Saffron layers together. Adhere the border piece behind the Crumb Cake layer. Tie a piece of Crumb Cake woven ribbon around the square. Stamp grass along bottom edge of the Whisper White square in Wild Wasabi, and layer onto square. Using Tombo multipurpose glue, adhere several layers of the bee hive together, to build dimension. Add colored bee hive to top. Build a scene on the square, and adhere to card front. Add bees as desired.
Quick Tip
Die cut several of the same image, than glue on top of one another. This creates a thick image, and adds dimension to your projects.
