Thanks for hopping with us for the May Color Fusers Blog Hop! We have a great color challenge to share today, and I am using a little old and a little new for today’s project to create my own patterned paper.
Today’s colors are also really fun, bright and cheerful! We are creating with Strawberry Slush, Bubble Bath, Granny Apple Green and Basic Black.
For today’s project, I am keeping it super simple, yet using all 4 colors prominently. First, I stamped the Flowers Flair stamp in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White cardstock, then I colored the image with Stampin’ Bends Markers in our challenge colors. This is the perfect way to create your own patterned paper – and it looks great!
Keeping it Simple
Sometimes, we just want a simple card. And today’s project fits that!
Creating patterned paper can be done with any stamps and ink colors. Simply stamp, color, and cut. Once you create your masterpiece, cut pieces off as needed to complete projects. Make several sheets and tuck them away for a day when you want quick and easy cards.
Coloring Tips
I kept the coloring on today’s project simple. No real shading, course detail lines on the flowers, and some Wink of Stella for the right amount of shimmer. Coloring doesn’t always have to be fancy. But by coloring the background, it really elevates the look of a simple stamped image. By layering it on white, it provides a striking pop of color.
Even the inside has a coordinating pop of color!
Be Creative
The Flowers Fair is so versatile. You may look at it and see one large stamp with flowers, but you can actually cut the flowers apart to have individual elements to work with as well, or stamp it as is for a large floral element.
Sneak Peek
Did you notice that cool scallop under the flowers? This was created from the Bordered in Beauty Die set. It’s part of a bundle, and launches tomorrow. These dies are perfect for being able to add the perfect finishing touches to your projects.
To Create This Project
Thick Basic White Card Base: 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5-1/2″
Basic White Cardstock: 4″ x 5-1/4″ and 4″ x 3-1/2″
Basic Black Cardstock: 4″ x 1″ and 4″ x 1/4″
Fold card base and burnish well with a Bone Folder. Adhere Basic White layer to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Stamp Flowers Fair image on remaining Basic White cardstock. Color with Stampin’ Blends. Die cut border piece from Basic Black cardstock using Bordered in Beauty Dies. Adhere die cut to bottom edge of colored piece. Tie a twine bow around layer. Stamp sentiment in Memento Black ink, using flower layer to help with position, then adhere to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adhere remaining piece of patterned paper along bottom inside card. Place a 1/4″ strip of Basic Black along top edge of DSP. Embellish with dots as desired.

It’s almost time for the May – August 2026 Catalog and May Online Release. That means it’s product share time! Product Shares are only offered for a short time before a catalog launches. It’s the best way to get a little of all the new papers, ribbons and embellishments from a new product release!
A product share is a partial pack of products, grouped and packaged for easy use. Because, let’s face it, we love having all the new things! This is perfect for trying a little of everything at a fraction of the cost, making it a budget-friendly way to purchase crafting supplies.
Paper samplers are creative tools used to display a paper collection, or to use as a reference while you’re crafting. These are invaluable to coordinate patterns and colors as you are creating projects, or to showcase the beautiful patterns of each collection.

Thanks for hopping with us for the April Color Fusers Blog Hop! We have another beautiful color challenge to share today, and I am using a lot of Last Chance products for today’s project, including the Gallery Blooms and Beautiful Motifs Bundles.
I am also sharing a sneak peek of a new die set arriving next month!
For this project, I chose to keep the colors soft, by using Petal Pink as the main color. I pulled in Crumb Cake as a neutral, and added pops of color with Shy Shamrock and Secret Sea. Using one main color makes it easy to coordinate everything.
Last Chance List
Every other month, Stampin’ Up! updates the Last Chance section of the online store with close-out items, some with large discounts. This list was just updated with TONS of new items from the Annual and January – April Mini Catalogs.
For today’s project, I used almost all retiring products: 2 bundles, ribbon, and one of my favorites, Iridescent Foil Gems. And Shy Shamrock is also retiring! It’s such a fresh green, and has been one of my favorites. Grab it now, or any of the other 2024-2026 In Color items, before they sell out.
Coloring Tips
I love the line art images in the Gallery Blooms Stamp Set. They are so elegant, and easy to color. I like to use the detail lines provided by the artist to guide me for shading. For this project, I used 2 different coloring methods:
First, I smooshed a clear block onto my Petal Pink ink pad, then used my Wink of Stella to lift color.
Starting along the bottom of the flower, I used the flicking technique with my Wink of Stella. This provides the darker color on the flowers..
Next, I smooshed my clear block onto my Petal Pink pad again, and used my Water Painter to dilute it.
Using my Water Painter, I quickly colored the whole flower. This softens the lines from the Wink of Stella and fills in the rest of the flower. Use caution not to over color, because it can cause the Crumb Cake ink flower image to bleed. Use this also to splatter on the Very Vanilla oval die cut.
Last, I smooshed my clear block onto my Shy Shamrock pad, and used my Water Painter to dilute it before coloring the leaves and stems.
Sneak Peek
I could not resist pulling out the Sweet Words & Labels Dies. They are perfect for this project! All of them are gorgeous, with beautiful edges, pierced detail, and the ability to layer. These dies are part of a suite called Silly Old Bear, and has a coordinating stamp set by the same name.
These dies will be a must! If you live in the United States, get these gems starting May, 5th before they are gone!
