Color Fusers March 2024 A Little Latte

Color Fusers March 2024 project featuring A Little Latte designer series paper and Latte Love stamp set. Clean and simple card with a peek-a-boo window. Project created by Melanie Hockin of Mel's Inky Fingers using Stampin' Up! products.

Welcome to the March 2024 Color Fusers blog hop where I am featuring a Peek-A-Boo Window card using products from the new A Little Latte Suite. This suite actually launches tomorrow, and is absolutely adorable! The striped paper from the designer series paper collection worked great for today’s color challenge, and it works perfectly on this clean and simple card.

Every quarter Stampin’ Up! releases a collection of products in our online store. These products are not featured in any catalog, and often contain some of my favorite things! As soon as I saw the A Little Latte Suite, I knew I was going to love it! I used the Latte Love Stamp Set to create a non-latte styled project, to show even more versatility from this suite.

Today’s project is what I would call clean & simple. It’s not fancy, but the Sweet Sorbet pops of color are really fun, and it’s a great way to feature your favorite designer series paper patterns. And by the way, if you love Sweet Sorbet, grab it now! This is one of our colors going away on April 30th!

And the Peek-A-Boo Window is so easy to create! Let me walk you through it….

To Create the Window

The window can be created using two coordinating sizes of any punch or die. First, I layered the card front pieces together, followed by a Decorative Circle punched piece. Next, I punched the center of the Decorative Label piece with a 1 3/4″ Circle Punch through all the front layers.

After creating the window, I stamped my image in the center of the opening, onto the inside of the card. You could also stamp a sentiment in this space as an alternative. It’s that easy!

Color Fusers February 2024 It’s a Science

Birthday card created for the Color Fusers February 2024 blog hop featuring the It's A Science stamp set, Simply Elegant Trim, and Rhinestone Basic jewels by Stampin' Up! Card created and designed by Melanie Hockin of Mel's Inky Fingers.

Welcome to the February 2024 Color Fusers Blog Hop where I am sharing a project made with the adorable It’s a Science stamp set.

This month, the talented Color Fusers Design Team is featuring a color theme of blues with purple. You will get a great look at 3 retiring colors, Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis, and Starry Sky. I have loved working with these colors, and if you love what you see today, I would grab them while you can! They retire in just a couple short months!

For today’s project, I stuck to the basics, to create a simple card. Stamping on Basic White cardstock really allows ink colors to pop, and the darker colors of this month’s color challenge really do create a pop of color! I love the simplicity, and was able to add in some fun elements, while sticking to the simple design.

To create interest, I used Wink of Stella with my Stampin’ Blends to add shimmer to the beaker contents, and glimmer bubbles coming from the beakers. The watercolored blue haze was easy to add using a Water Painter dipped in Tahitian Tide ink.

The bling elements finish it off nicely, created with Simply Elegant Trim and Rhinestones Basics Jewels.

To Create This Card

  • Card base – Thick Basic White cardstock 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Front layer – Basic White cardstock 5 x 3 3/4
  • Sentiment – Basic White cardstock 2 1/2″ x 5/8″

Stamp beakers across front layer. Color in contents with coordinating Stampin’ Blends. Add wink of Stella over the Stampin’ Blends coloring. Using Tahitian Tide ink and a Water Painter, add a bit of color at the top of each beaker to create blue haze. Stamp bubbles in Tahitian Tide ink, stamping off twice before stamping image. Add small dots of Wink of Stella to the blue haze, and rhinestones as desired. Tie a silver cord bow around front layer, then adhere front layer to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Stamp sentiment in Starry Sky ink on Basic White strip. Punch end with Banner Pick-A-Punch, and adhere to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Carnival Treats Donuts and Sale-A-Bration

Card made with the Carnival Treats Host Stamp Set and Iridescent Foil Gems from the January - April 2024 Mini Catalog and the Heartfelt Hellos Sale-A-Bration 2024 stamp set. Project created by Melanie Hockin of Mel's Inky Fingers.

Today I am diving into a new catalog, and sharing the Carnival Treats Host Stamp Set and new products from the January – April 2024 Mini Catalog, which recently launched. I love new catalogs! It’s also time to Sale-A-Brate! Let me share more….

With each catalog, Stampin’ Up! releases Host-Only items. These items can be earned free, when you have a qualifying order, or group of orders, to earn Host Rewards. Host-Only items can be purchased with the Host Reward dollars earned, so they are free! This project pairs not only the free host set, but a Sale-A-Bration 2024 stamp set, Heartfelt Hellos.

Time to Sale-A-Brate!

Each year, Stampin’ Up! kicks off the year with the Sale-A-Bration promotion. This year, in January and February, you earn free products with any purchase of at least $50. The best part, you get to pick your free gift! There are many items to choose from, and there is no limit to how many you may earn!

Both of the stamp sets on today’s project are fun and versatile. And look at that label! I absolutely love the new die set, Everyday Details Dies. There are both circles and rectangles in this die set featuring that beautiful eyelet detail.

If donuts aren’t your thing, there are plenty of other yummy treats to feature from this stamp set! You sure can’t go wrong with this one.

And how fun is it to change up the colors! I brought in bright colors to make this playful and fun. I switched out the White Organdy Glittered Ribbon for Pool Party Crinkle Ribbon, and the Iridescent Foil Gems for Opaque Faceted Gems to coordinate with the colors. Both the Pool Party Ribbon, and Faceted Gems are free Sale-A-Bration items!

To Create this Card

  • 4 1/4″ x 11″ Thick Basic White card base, scored at 5 1/2″
  • 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White cardstock front layer
  • 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ Basic White cardstock for stamping
  • large Basic White die cut label

Fold card base in half and burnish well. Splatter Wink of Stella on front layer and set aside to dry. Once dry, tie ribbon around layer, then adhere to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Stamp 3 donuts each, using Bubble Bath and Crumb Cake ink on Basic White cardstock. Fussy cut the Crumb Cake Donuts, and the pink frosting portion from the Bubble Bath donuts. Adhere the pink frosting over the Crumb Cake donuts. Arrange donuts onto front layer, and adhere in place. Stamp sentiment in black ink on Basic White label, and adhere to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Embellish as desired with gems. Stamp sentiment inside card as desired in black ink.
