The Color Fusers are a group of talented demonstrators from around the world that share projects made with the same color challenge. We hop the first Monday of each month. This month’s colors are fun and bright, definitely a sign spring is around the corner! And you can’t go wrong with a good pink and green color combination. This month, we are using Berry Burst, Granny Apple Green, and Lemon Lime Twist,
The Help Me Grow Bundle is adorable and filled with garden tools and gardening elements. I used it to create the garden tools and plant marker elements. What I love about it is the ability to create die cut or stamped elements, or a combination, like I used on this project. So much versatility!
I used layers of white to keep the project clean and simple. However, I created separation between the layers with embossing and ink blending. This helps create interest and separation between the elements. This embossed background was created with the Ladybug Picnic 3D Embossing Folder releasing later this week. So cute!
Cool Tip: to help separate elements, add ink blending to layers to create background contrast.
Did you notice that gorgeous ribbon? It’s the Berry Burst 1/4″ Shiny Ribbon. And the Lunar Lustre Specialty Paper, which couldn’t be more perfect for the tool heads. Both available tomorrow!
To Create This Project
- Card Base: Thick Basic White 4-1/4″ x 11″
- Embossed Layer: Basic White Cardstock 3-3/4″ x 5″ and embossed with Ladybug Picnic 3D Embossing Folder
- Die Cut Shape: Basic White cardstock 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ die cut with the second largest Stylish Shapes circle die
- Tool Heads: Lunar Lustre Specialty Paper cut 3″ x 2-1/2″ for die cutting tools
- Tools: Basic White Cardstock cut 2″ x 2-1/2″ for stamping and die cutting tools
- Sentiment layer: Crumb Cake Cardstock cut 1-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ for stamping and die cutting
Adhere embossed layer to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Blend circle lightly with Lemon Lime Twist ink using a Blending Brush. Tie ribbon in a bow around circle, then adhere to card front with Stampin’ SEAL. Stamp tool handles in Berry Burst and Granny Apple Green ink and die cut with coordinating dies. Adhere to tool heads, then to circle with Stampin’ SEAL and Stampin’ Dimensionals. Stamp sentiment on plant marker in Berry Burst ink and adhere to circle. Embellish with hexagons. Stamp inside sentiment in Berry Burst ink.
