Welcome to the July Color Fusers blog hop! I am sharing a simple patriotic card with you today that you can recreate with any patterned paper or colors!

We have some amazing projects to share today with a patriotic color challenge. I made this project a couple weeks ago before I realized we would go live after the 4th of July in the United States, but decided to share anyway.

This project is so incredibly simple, as the patterns on the designer series paper do all the heavy lifting to make it look like an American flag. I love the patterns in the 6×6 color assortment paper packs this year! I have been using them a lot.
The blue pattern was embossed with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder to add texture to represent stars.

A good sentiment set always comes in handy. Today I used the Simply Said stamp set. It has great choices for any occasion.

To Make this Project:
- Thick Basic White Cardstock: 4-1/4″ x 11″
- Basic White Cardstock: 3-3/4″ x 5″ and 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″
- Smoky Slate Cardstock: 3-1/2″ x 1/2″
- Designer Series Paper: 2-1/4″ x 2-1/4″ in Night of Navy and 6″ x 2-1/2″ in Cherry Cobbler stripe
Emboss the Night of Navy designer series paper with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder and adhere to top left corner of smallest Basic White layer. Adhere Cherry Cobbler striped designer series paper at an angle. Trim any overhang. Adhere a piece of ribbon along bottom edge of striped designer series paper, adhering ends on back of layer. Adhere to remaining Basic White layer, than adhere layer to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Stamp sentiment in Night of Navy ink on Smoky Slate strip. Trim ends, and adhere over ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Tie a ribbon bow and tuck under edge of sentiment, adhering in place with a Mini Glue Dot. Embellish with Iridescent Gems. Stamp sentiment inside card in Night of navy ink.
