Welcome to the December 2024 Color Fusers blog hop where I am sharing a holiday card as the last hop for 2024 made with the Christmas Labels Bundle! I chose a winter theme, with a Christmas sentiment.
December’s color challenge did not speak to me as a Christmas color combination, but it works! And I had fun pulling all 3 colors together. I went with Shaded Spruce as my focal color, and used the other two as accent colors.
I set the scene by using the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder on the front layer. This folder has been a favorite this season! Then I layered trees, which were also embossed, this time, using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. There is so much texture to this project – I love I!
The Christmas Labels Bundle is the perfect set of sentiments for this holiday season. I love how they are created to fit on the beautifully detailed coordinating dies.
Sometimes, I like to pull the color challenge color in from designer series paper. And this month, the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper worked well. There are sheets in that pack made with Misty Moonlight. Those sheets worked really well for the snow layers.
To create this project
- Thick Basic White Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″ for card base and 3 3/4″ x 5″ for front embossed layer
- Shaded Spruce: die cut 3 trees
- Winter Meadows Designer Series Paper” 4″ x 2″ torn for layers
Emboss front layer with Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder. Splatter with Wink of Stella. Tear designer series paper into two strips. Layer together and adhere across bottom of embossed layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Tie a gold thread bow around designer series paper, then adhere layer to card front. Arrange all 3 trees on card front and adhere in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Stamp sentiment in Melon Mambo ink on Basic White cardstock both inside and out. Die cut with coordinating die, then adhere in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Embellish with gems as desired.
