Thank you for joining us for the Color Fusers Blog Hop where I am sharing a card made with the Brightest Beauty bundle from the new July-December 2022 Mini Catalog!
But before I dive in, I would like to wish everyone in the US a happy Independence Day. I hope your celebration is joyful!
It’s always exciting when a new catalog launches, and this one is sooo good! I chose to kick off my blog shares with this bundle which contains my favorite sentiment! And the images are amazing as well.
The color challenge this month is so pretty, and I loved my bundle choice even more! I went with Petal Pink as my main focus and kept the color soft and feminine, using Poppy Parade for little pops of color.
Brightest Beauty
Brightest Beauty is a two-step stamping set. The large focal image is so pretty, and can be used alone, colored with any coloring technique, or used with the coordinating stamp. I pulled in Poppy Parade on the berry stamp, coloring some of the berries on the stamp with my Poppy Parade Stampin’ Write Marker before stamping.
I brought in lots of texture on this card by using the Quatrefoil Embossing Folder on the main front layer, and Layering Designs Vellum behind the focal image.
Silver metallic accents, including the Metallic Mesh Ribbon layered down one side, and silver cord, finished it all off nicely!
To create this card:
- Use a 4 1/4″ x 11″ Petal Pink card base, scored at 5 1/2″
- Cut a 3 3/4″ x 5″ Petal Pink layer and emboss for the front
- Stamp and die cut focal image on Basic White cardstock
- Die cut the focal shape from Layering Designs Vellum
Cut a piece of Metallic Mesh Ribbon in half lengthwise, and adhere down one side of embossed layer and adhere to card base with dimensionals. Stamp focal image in Smoky Slate ink. Ink berry stamp with Petal Pink ink, then color some berries with Poppy Parade marker before stamping. Die cut stamped image, and one vellum piece with same die. Die cut vellum foliage pieces. Layer stamped image and vellum piece offset, then add to card front with dimensionals. Stamp sentiment in Poppy Parade ink on Basic White cardstock, die cut, and add to card front with dimensionsls, adding vellum foliage pieces. Embellish with a bow and Rhinestones.
Thank you!
