Thanks for joining us today for the November Color Fusers blog hop! This month we have a traditional holiday color challenge.
With these colors, I could not resist making a gorgeous poinsettia with the Poinsettia Dies. After die cutting the petals, I spritzed them with a mixture of Frost White Shimmer Paint and rubbing alcohol in a Stampin’ Spritzer. The leaves were curled with a Bone Folder to create lots of dimension. The poinsettia is then layered on beautiful Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper. It is shimmery in person, and sooo pretty!
The sentiment is cut from Bumblebee Cardstock using the Joy Dies. I adhered the cardstock to a Foam Adhesive Sheet before die cutting to create more dimension. These dies are perfect for creating layered words, and I love them!
To Create this Card
- cut a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock and score at 4 1/4″
- cut a piece of Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
Adhere Plush Poinsettia paper to card front. Die cut 3 poinsettia petal layers from Poppy Parade cardstock using the Poinsettia dies. Mist with shimmer paint and allow to dry. Die cut leaves from Shaded Spruce cardstock. Die cut multiple floral centers from Bumblebee Cardstock, adhere together, and cover top with Shimmery Crystal Effects. Allow to dry. Assemble flower. Adhere a cluster of gold cord behind flower. Add leaves to flower, then adhere flower to card front. Place a piece of Bumblebee cardstock on a piece of Adhesive Foam Sheet. Die cut sentiment, and adhere to card front. Embellish with Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.
