Color Fusers December 2019 color challenge

Working with a color challenge is just that….a challenge.  But it can be really fun!  Sometimes a project comes easily, but this month, I struggled a bit.  Than I decided to use the colors for the detail, and it all came together.  And these Snow Globe Scenes dies —LOVE–!

The dies in this set are fabulous for creating a mini scene, and the best part….no stamping required for a great result!  I used layered dimensionals to create detail and depth in this mini scene with the deer, which is created from the dies in this set.

Layer dimensionals on your die cuts to create varying layers of depth and detail

And the textured background really pulls it all together.  Don't you think?

Pinewood Planks Embossed Background adds just the right detail!

To create this project:

  • Cut a Thick Whisper White card base 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Cut a front layer 3 3/4" x 5", and emboss with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder
  • Die cut the semicircle piece from the die set in Seaside Spray cardstock
  • Die cut 3 sets of trees from Whisper White cardstock
  • Die cut a deer from silver foil

Tie a piece of Seaside Spray Metallic ribbon around embossed white layer using a piece of white twine, than adhere to card base.  Adhere the semicircle near the center. Layer trees and deer die cut onto card front, using layered dimensionals to create depth.   Color portions of the sentiment with a Blueberry Bushel Stampin' Write Marker, and stamp.  Cut out words with paper snips, and adhere to card front to create a custom sentiment.  Embellish with Snowflake Sequins, and add inside sentiment.

These Snowflake Sequins from the Holiday catalog are fun little additions to any Christmas or winter holiday project!

And this Everything Festive stamp set is so versatile!  Notice how I created a custom sentiment from the peace/love stamp?  I did that by using my Stampin' Write marker to color just the portion I wanted.

I hope you will try this project.  And grab these dies before they are gone!  They can be found on page 43 of the 2019 Holiday Catalog, which ends on January 2nd.
