Welcome back! We are hopping with the Color Fusers today. Join us the first Monday of each month as we create using the same color palate.
The color challenge this month was a tough one for me! Flowers seemed easy. Now, I know there are not many blue flowers, but all flowers can be blue in my world. How would you put these colors together?
I chose one of my favorite retiring products, the Jar of Love stamp set with the coordinating Everyday Jars dies. These will go away when the current Annual catalog retires on June 3rd, or while supplies last. Yup – I said it! They are going away people! Yikes!
I love all the little bits included in this set. It's so much more than flowers, like I used today.
How would you fill your jar (or not)?
Leave me a comment telling me what you would make!
To recreate my card:
- Cut a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Whisper White card base and score at 4 1/4"
- Cut a 4" x 5 1/4" Whisper White layer
- Cut a 4 1/8" x 2 3/4" piece of Grapefruit Grove designer paper
- Cut a large stitched rectangle from Whisper White cardstock
I started by stamping multiple flowers in Night of Navy ink, stamping off once to decrease the intensity of the flowers. The water in the jar was made with a Night of Navy watercolor wash on vellum cardstock. The Faceted Dots make perfect flower centers, and to finish it off, I had to add a little shimmer by coloring the flowers with Wink of Stella.
