It’s hard to believe another month –and year– is upon us, and the Approaching Perfection stamp set was perfect for this month! Thanks for kicking off the year with the Color Fusers Blog Hop. I hope you enjoy another color challenge.
All these bright fun colors this month made me think birthday, so I decided to feature a new birthday stamp set.
I am excited to delve into the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. With it comes the most popular promotion of the year, Sale-A-Bration. During Sale-A-Bration, you are able to earn a FREE exclusive item with each $50 in purchases. And there is no limit!
Today, I am featuring one of the Sale-A-Bration stamp sets, Approaching Perfection. This set is sure to be a birthday staple. And this simple, but cute card came together easily.
Creating a window card is a fun way to showcase the inside of your card. For today’s project, I stamped a row of multicolored balloons in the center of the inside layer. I then cut the center part of the card front out, and replaced it with a piece of Window Sheet.
This window allows the colorful balloons to show through. Next, I used the witty News Flash stamp with Melon Mambo ink. I split the image and adhered it to the card front.
Customizing is sometimes really easy, and my Stampin’ Blends came to the rescue, allowing me to create a custom ribbon color. I simply colored the Crinkled White Seam Binding Ribbon Mango Melody to match the color challenge.
Finally, I added a few Mango Melody sequins to finish it off.
I hope you liked today’s project, and the little peak of what’s coming! The January – June 2021 Mini Catalog and 2021 Sale-A-Bration Catalogs go live tomorrow, January 5th, and the products are amazing! Give this fun fold a try with your new products.

Snowflake Splendor Product Suite
Beautiful projects made with the Snowflake Splendor Product Suite
I love the gorgeous snowflakes, and all the shades of blue in this suite. The designer paper has a pretty watercolor look background, with all different sizes of snowflake prints and patterns.
Today I am sharing my project for the December Simple Suite Stampers Tutorial, which features the Snowflake Splendor product suite. I love these adorable critters in the Warm & Toasty stamp set! They are playful and so fun to create with! I thought these polar bears would make the perfect skating scene, so I got right to work.
The Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper is just gorgeous, and works so well with the designer paper. It matches the blues in the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper, which also has some purples in it. This small scale snowflake pattern was a perfect fit for today’s project!
I love how the white trees bring it together. This was a really fun card to make!

Thanks for stopping by for the Color Fusers Blog Hop. We hop the first Monday of each month, and share a color challenge with you, and today I created a winter scene using the Festive Post stamp set.
The colors this month made me think of trees, so I created a cute little scene in a snow globe, representing what many of us are doing this time of year, getting our tree ready for the holidays!
The Festive Post stamp set was a perfect pairing with the Snow Globe Scenes dies to create today’s project.
I used new Blending Brushes to create the soft background color inside the globe with Night of Navy ink. These Blending Brushes will be available in January, and are absolutely amazing! Another awesome tool, the Stamparatus, worked perfectly to stamp the car and tree in different colors, by first inking just the car, then inking just the tree, assuring perfect alignment.
That cute little bear is from the Snow Globe Scenes die set. Isn’t it adorable? I finished it all off by adding some Snowflake Sequins inside the globe, as well as to the front.
To create this project:
Cut a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Pretty Peacock card base, score at 4 1/4″
Cut a 4″ x 5 1/4″ layer of Whisper White cardstock
Cut a 3″ x 3″ layer of Whisper White for the globe scene
Cut a 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ strip of Whisper White cardstock for the sentiment
Die cut 3 Pretty Peacock globe bases plus 1 detailed globe base, and adhere all together
Ink the small piece of Whisper white cardstock with Night of Navy ink. Stamp the car with Night of Navy ink and the tree in Granny Apple Green ink. Add additional trees as desired. Add a die cut brown bear. Die cut the globe opening on the large Whisper White layer using the Snow Globe Scenes dies, then emboss the layer with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder. Place the globe dome into opening. Place Snowflake Sequins into center of stamped scene and adhere the dome layer on top. Tie ribbon around globe base, and adhere to card. Add Night of Navy sentiment.
I hope you enjoyed this fun shaker card. They are so easy to make with the Globe Scenes die set and Globe domes –try it! Visit my store to get your shaker card items. Just click on the Shop Now button on the right or any of the products listed below.
