Last Chance List – Annual & Mini Catalogs

The Last Chance lists are here! It’s hard to believe we are almost out of time to enjoy the current Annual Catalog and the January-April 2024 Mini Catalog! I feel like the time has passed so fast. And now, it is time to say good-bye to so many of the amazing products in these catalogs.

Stampin’ Up! has posted the retiring products from both catalogs. I have included lists here which you may print for reference. The items listed are while supplies last — when they are gone, they are gone!

You will also notice discounts — these start April 9th for products still in stock. Discounts are up to 60% off, for amazing savings!

In Colors

One of the hottest Last Chance items are products from the outgoing In Color line. These In Colors have been incredibly popular, and several of the items are already on low inventory. This means, if you need any of the In Color items, don’t wait!

Do you need ink refills, Stampin’ Write Markers, or cardstock? Now is the time to check your stash.

Color Fusers April 2024 – Two Tone Flora

All occasion card featuring the Two Tone Floral and Something Fancy bundles created for the April 2024 Color Fusers blog hop. Card designed by Melanie Hockin of Mel's Inky Fingers featuring Stampin' Up! Two Tone Floral and Something Fancy stamp sets and Two Tone Floral and Something Fancy die sets.

Welcome to the Color Fusers April 2024 blog hop! This month, we have great spring colors, featuring a retiring In Color, Parakeet Party. It was time to create a beautiful all-occasion floral card with the Two Tone Flora set and coordinating Something Fancy set, which worked perfectly with this color challenge.

Two Tone Flora

The Two Tone Flora stamp and die set is one of my favorite florals. I love how easy it is to create fancy flowers with the layering stamps, making the flowers just pop! And the large background die in the Two Tone Flora Die Set is amazing! It is perfect both as a layer, and to create a mask for so many other techniques. I kept it simple, using as a layer today. The detail is gorgeous!

Amazing flowers are easy to create, even with one ink color. I used Calypso Coral on today’s project. To create a lighter color, ink your stamp, then stamp on a piece of scrap paper before stamping on your project. This is sometimes called second generation stamping, and creates a lighter color image. The detail stamp was then stamped with a fully inked stamp, looking darker.

This sentiment set is called Something Fancy. It has beautiful script and block fonts. And the sentiments are lovely.

The Something Fancy Stamp Set has a great coordinating die set, called Something Fancy Dies, which creates awesome labels.

This die set works with just about any sentiment set, so it is a great staple item for your stash!

Retiring Soon!

Most of the products I used on today’s project will be retiring soon. The Two Tone Flora stamp and die sets, Something Fancy stamp and die sets, ribbon, gems, and Parakeet Party ink, are available until the end of the month, or while supplies last. So if you love any of these items, grab them before they are gone!

To create this project:

  • Calypso Coral Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ for card base
  • Calypso Coral Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″, die cut with the background die for front layer
  • Basic White Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ for stamped images
  • Basic White Cardstock: 4″ x 2″ for label to fit chosen sentiment

Adhere die cut background to card front, trimming as needed. Stamp sentiment in Memento Black ink, and die cut label. Adhere to card front. Stamp several flowers in Calypso Coral ink using the stamping technique described above. Die cut with coordinating dies. Stamp foliage and small leaf images in Granny Apple Green and Parakeet Party ink. Die cut with coordinating dies. Arrange pieces on card front. Tie a ribbon bow and adhere behind large flower. Adhere flowers in place, using Stampin’ Dimensionals on some. Stamp inside sentiment in Memento Black ink.

Color Fusers March 2024 A Little Latte

Color Fusers March 2024 project featuring A Little Latte designer series paper and Latte Love stamp set. Clean and simple card with a peek-a-boo window. Project created by Melanie Hockin of Mel's Inky Fingers using Stampin' Up! products.

Welcome to the March 2024 Color Fusers blog hop where I am featuring a Peek-A-Boo Window card using products from the new A Little Latte Suite. This suite actually launches tomorrow, and is absolutely adorable! The striped paper from the designer series paper collection worked great for today’s color challenge, and it works perfectly on this clean and simple card.

Every quarter Stampin’ Up! releases a collection of products in our online store. These products are not featured in any catalog, and often contain some of my favorite things! As soon as I saw the A Little Latte Suite, I knew I was going to love it! I used the Latte Love Stamp Set to create a non-latte styled project, to show even more versatility from this suite.

Today’s project is what I would call clean & simple. It’s not fancy, but the Sweet Sorbet pops of color are really fun, and it’s a great way to feature your favorite designer series paper patterns. And by the way, if you love Sweet Sorbet, grab it now! This is one of our colors going away on April 30th!

And the Peek-A-Boo Window is so easy to create! Let me walk you through it….

To Create the Window

The window can be created using two coordinating sizes of any punch or die. First, I layered the card front pieces together, followed by a Decorative Circle punched piece. Next, I punched the center of the Decorative Label piece with a 1 3/4″ Circle Punch through all the front layers.

After creating the window, I stamped my image in the center of the opening, onto the inside of the card. You could also stamp a sentiment in this space as an alternative. It’s that easy!
